Senior Automated QA Test Engineer

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Automated Testing experience

• Practical knowledge of Java or JavaScript

• Hands-on experience with designing, building, and implementing automated testing tools

• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases

• Experience with system/integration/user acceptance testing

• Demonstrate knowledge in using various testing methodologies, Agile and Scrum, and logging results using solutions such as Jira

• Ability to interact with developers to understand, define, and document functional testing requirements

• Highly organized with precise attention to detail

• A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success

• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

• Good critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management skills

• Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject, or equivalent experience

About This Position

We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests for a SaaS product built in Java/Javascript and EXTJS. QA engineer responsibilities include designing, building, and implementing tests, debugging, and defining corrective actions. The ideal candidate should be deeply committed to the KaiNexus mission and be motivated to help organizations improve.

Title:   Senior Automated QA Test Engineer
Location: Irving, Texas

KaiNexus is committed to the safety of its employees and the surrounding community. In light of the dangers of COVID-19, our team is currently fully remote. We intend to transition back into an office in Irving, TX when it is safe to do so.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design, build, and implement automated tests to augment our existing manual testing strategy for better end-to-end testing coverage

• Develop and implement a strategy for automating regression testing (which is currently done manually)

• Identify success criteria and prioritize test requirements

• Identify and thoroughly document defects discovered during testing

• Deliver high-quality work and adapt to new challenges

• Identify and track QA KPIs

• Research and implement new tools, technologies, and testing processes

• Document testing activities using best practices to maintain traceability using Jira or similar tools
