Lean Specialist

The Lean Strategist is a permanent position that will create and execute strategic plans across our customer base and interact with several growing areas of the business including Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Experience. The Lean Strategist will work closely with leadership and other team members to solve problems and implement solutions collaboratively. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated superb communication, organization, and time management skills and be able to effectively manage a number of diverse and complex problems at the same time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop effective strategies to engage, onboard, and configure new customers 
  • Assist with Optimization Reviews with existing customers and create and execute plans to help them improve their success and experience with KaiNexus
  • Assist/Coach Customer Success Managers to develop Strategic A3s with their clients
  • Be a key contributor to logo retention and ARR growth/retention
  • Be an internal Lean and CI resource 
  • Provide the product development team with Voice of the Customer (VOC) experiential feedback
  • Assist Sales with the acquisition, requirement scoping, and retention of customers
  • Assist Customer Success Managers in building deep, meaningful, and value-creating relationships 
  • Become intimately knowledgeable in the KaiNexus platform (Become a “KaiNexpert”) 
  • Maintain a high daily activity of customer-focused activity, including Optimization Reviews, client calls, and client emails; with the intent of nurturing client relationships and identifying upsell opportunities and favorable circumstances to create more value for our customers
  • Understand this is a relatively new position and therefore be willing to adapt, pivot, and be creative regarding the optimal way to grow this capability into the KaiNexus culture

About This Position

Title: Lean Strategist 
Reports to: Senior Director of Lean Strategy 
Location: Remote Opportunity, Some Travel Required

We are seeking an experienced, self-aware, and energetic professional with Lean and Continuous Improvement experience to join our team. The perfect candidate will be a flexible and dynamic self-starter who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and has the wisdom and experience to make clear informed recommendations in order to help our customers start, spread, and maintain a culture of continuous improvement. The position requires confidence in one's ability to lead teams and the skills to inspire others.

The Lean Strategist serves as a multi-faceted business partner for external customers and to our Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams. The Lean Strategist is a key element for providing Voice of the Customer (VOC) advice to our team through the lens of a Lean and Continuous Improvement leader. The Lean Strategist is expected to identify Opportunities for Improvement as well as to communicate and advocate client needs and goals within KaiNexus to ensure they are met and properly addressed. They will help maintain and grow accounts by identifying opportunities to improve customer adoption through their Lean and CI processes, and they will assist with new product sales and contract renewals. The Lean Strategist must have an open-minded approach to new ideas. The Lean Strategist must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and the ability to interpret non-verbal communication signals. They must also have the ability to interact effectively and to influence all levels, especially including senior leadership, within both our organization and our customers and prospects. 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and appropriate Lean certifications or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or similar disciplines
  • Must be passionate about improvement methodologies 
  • Flexible with change and has the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with a strong focus on account growth, retention, and account development 
  • Time management and organizational skills with the ability to track numerous projects and details 
  • High emotional intelligence and the ability to handle tough conversations with clients in a professional, solution-oriented manner 
  • Has a bias for action and a belief that a proactive approach to clients is necessary to identify and solve issues before they become problems 
  • A passion for and a deep understanding of customer service and business growth 
  • Strong interpersonal communication (both verbal, non-verbal, and written) 
  • A unique style, flair, and creativity to bring to a team that prides itself on its personality 
  • This position will be located within the United States within a reasonable distance to a major airport 
  • This position will require travel to Austin, TX from time to time 
  • This position will require periodic travel to customer locations
  •
