Lean Project Manager


Primary Responsibilities

  • Coach internal stakeholders through strategic projects
  • Manage improvement efforts, projects, and Kaizen events across the company 
  • Work with external stakeholders to understand where improvement opportunities exist 
  • Identify gaps in our current processes and offerings
  • Develop and teach continuous improvement skills and topics

Position Description

We are seeking an energetic and self-aware professional with lean and continuous improvement experience to join our Austin team. The perfect candidate will be a flexible and dynamic self-starter who is highly analytical and detail-oriented. The position requires confidence to solve big challenges and the skills to inspire others. This position has high visibility to leadership and offers excellent potential for growth and development.  

The Lean Project Manager (LPM) primarily serves as a multi-faceted business partner to our internal Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Platform Development teams. In addition, this person may work with strategic clients to implement improvement projects. The right candidate will be comfortable with the A3 format and will be able to coach teams to drive their projects to completion.

Reports to:  Senior Lean Strategy Director

The Lean Project Manager (LPM) is a permanent position that creates and executes strategic plans across all areas of KaiNexus and our customer base. You will work closely with leadership and other teams to collaboratively solve problems and implement solutions. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated superb communication, organization, and time management skills and can effectively manage multiple, diverse and complex problems at the same time.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience leading improvement projects, rapid improvement events, and kaizen events
  • High emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal communication skills (both verbal, non-verbal, and written)
  • Bias for action and the ability to work independently
  • Passion for excellence and the capacity to think strategically
  • Talent to execute projects from start to finish
  • Analytical mind that enjoys problem-solving
  • Detail-orientation with excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent responsiveness with a strong customer-centric approach and the ability to serve the organization at all levels
  • Tech-savvy with a drive to learn new concepts 
  • Unique flair, creativity, and a desire to join a team that prides itself on its personality
